Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She held the post from 2021 until 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously worked in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009); the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001 when she worked for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for the field of political communications, serving as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign for reelection. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] There was speculation Psaki would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. She was appointed communications director at the White House and continued to do so until the end in 2015.
