Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known role is her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. After the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13 in 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders.
